In keeping with Kumu Paul's emphasis on 'ohana (family), we pray for the joys and concerns of our hālau 'ohana as well
as others who are in need of our help.
If you have a joy or concern that you would like the hālau 'ohana to keep in our focus, you are welcome to use this hālau
venue.
The pule or prayer is an opportunity to help those in need.
From our 'ohana to you, we pray that blessings will create new beginnings and hope.
Nā Pule
Lauae (Murphy) Beamer, wife of Kamana Beamer, was diagnosed with breast cancer. We don't have many details,
as Lauae is currently pregnant with their first child, a girl, due in the next few weeks and that has limited the doctors' ability
to make a complete diagnosis. We do know that she will be likely to undergo intense treatment for one year immediately
after giving birth.
It is very important that we raise funds to help the family while Lauae undergoes treatment. Friends of Lauae and
Kamana will be holding a benefit concert for the family on Saturday, March 27 (6:30 - 9 pm at Calvary by the Sea Church)
to help raise money for her medical treatment and expenses. (2/15)

It is with great sadness that I inform you that my kumu, our kumu, Kumu Hula Wayne Kaho'onei Panoke has passed
away this evening at Queens Hospital in Honolulu. Kumu Wayne died from a heart attack at about 7:oopm Hawai'i time.
Kumu Ladd Heleloa and his sister Lehua were at his side with other family friends and 'ohana. Please pray for his 'ohana
and all of us. Please notify all haumana and halau 'ohana to pray as well. A great legacy from a great teacher has been
given, we are humbled to have been a part of his life. (11/14)
